Belinda Howell, managing director
Belinda has extensive experience of working at Director and Board level with major international companies across a wide range of sectors on climate change and sustainability strategy; and for the last 5 years of accelerating the growth of early stage clean technology companies. Belinda founded Decarbonize to bring together these areas of expertise and experience.
She has led multi-year projects for companies including: Anglo American, The Body Shop, Coca-Cola, HSBC, McDonalds Europe, National Grid, Ocado, Unilever, United Utilities and Xstrata; and worked in house for Boots the Chemists.
Executive and Advisory Board appointments include: Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil executive board; Scottish Power environment forum; Sustainable Low Carbon Innovation advisory board. CNBC Business Europe ‘Low Carbon Pioneer’ Top 50 and Top 100 in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Bass award for Best MBA of the Year. Belinda read Biochemistry at Nottingham and Oxford Brookes universities.
